G. What is the procedure for Osteopathic treatment?

Your first visit to the Osteopathy Clinic will include:
Doctor's Consultation; The problem you are suffering with, its symptoms, your lifestyle and diet habits, and your detailed medical history.

Then he will give you a thorough check up (physical examination) and this will also include various other related tests required to be done (if any). After observing and recording all this, the practitioner will recommend you the prescription or the procedure for treatment.

Treatment: Osteopaths assess patients from a mechanical, functional and postural standpoint, using manual methods of treatment applied to suit the individual patient. Once the treatment starts, then you have to diligently follow the advice or procedure laid down including the diet control. You will be under a constant supervision during the progress of the treatment. It is important that you are completely comfortable during your treatment session. You can ask the practitioner any doubts you have about the treatment like; as to how many days or sessions will the treatment last, will it be painful, any regular check-ups required after the treatment, is the treatment covered under any insurance policy etc.

Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes self-healing using "universal life energy" channeled through the practitioner to the recipient. It is a simple, natural and safe method that everyone can use. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

I. Do you recommend regular check-ups or “maintenance” treatments?

Yes. We would certainly recommend individuals who have undergone the treatments to have regular check-ups, since prevention is better than cure.

The majority of insurance companies now cover osteopathy. It is best to check with your insurers first.
